Sc 7L virtual terrarium homework assignment
Hi Science 7L! Remember that your virtual terrarium assignments are due on Tuesday. Many of you finished your drawings today in class, but for those of you that didn't, here is a reminder of what to include in your representations:
- water
- oxygen (represented by 02 symbols)
- food
- energy
- some sort of shelter (for people, animals, plants, etc.)
- interactions between living and non-living things
- at least one plant and one animal
Once you have finished your drawings, write down a list of how you've represented each of the above points (ex: water = raindrops and lake formed from a stream coming down a mountain; energy = sun producing energy for a flower to grow, berries for humans and animals, etc.).
Leave a comment here if you have any questions about this over the weekend.

IP 10 Survey - August 27th, 2009
Hi girls!
Please leave a comment on this post for practice with using the blog.
I would like you to use Microsoft Word to fill out the following survey. When you are finished, please save it as "Lastname, IP 10 survey" and submit it to the IP 10 drop box/hand in folder.
There are a number of assignments and activities that I am planning to do with you over the course of this school year, but there is a bit of room left for new assignments and lessons as well. I have some ideas of things I'd like to try this year, but I would like your input so that you can get the most out of this class as possible. The more specific your answers can be, the more helpful it will be to me when designing your assignments.
1. What areas of information processing and general computer use do you feel are your strengths?
2. In which areas do you feel you have the most room for improvement?
3. List your favourite Mac software programs.
4. What activities, assignments, or projects would you like to see included in your IP 10 course this year?
5. What skills learned in an Information Processing class do you think will most benefit you as a high school student? As a member of the workforce?
