Testing comments for 7L

Hi girls! As you are aware, your teachers are now connected to you via homework/announcement blogs. You are able to leave comments on some of them, mine being one. Today we are going to practice doing exactly that.

Please leave me a comment with your favourite (school-appropriate) quotation. It can be inspirational, funny, motivational, reflective, etc. Some topic ideas: friendship, music, faith, family, nature.... you choose!

KShorts Quiz - Comp 7

Just a reminder that the Keyboard Shortcuts quiz for Comp 7L will be on Wednesday, October 7th (tomorrow) and 7C will be on Thursday, October 8th.

Feel free to save your KShorts document to your USB and take it home to study. If you need to print, please put your shortcuts on ONE PAGE only so as to not waste paper. You don't need to print your numbered and bulleted lists, only the instructions about how to create them.

Comp 7 Kshorts - numbered lists and bullets

When you type a number followed by a period, a space, text, and the “return” key, the computer recognizes that you are typing a list and will continue to number each subsequent line:

i.e. I have ten favourite colours:

  1. Lime green
  2. Purple
  3. Hot pink
  4. Magenta
  5. Turquoise
  6. Lavendar
  7. Yellow
  8. Baby blue
  9. Orange
  10. Teal

Asterisk (Shift+8) + tab + typed text + return = bullets

i.e.This is what I am doing today:

· Going to the gym

· Teaching Computers 7C class

· Trying to figure out who to cast in Alice in Wonderland (everyone is SO GOOD)

· Going for coffee with Mrs. Moon to figure out Alice in Wonderland

After adding these shortcuts to your Kshorts document, practice by making a numbered list of the people in our class and a bulleted list of your plans for the weekend. It should be saved in in your Kshorts document.
