A musical moment from Trade Show 2014
A fun moment in our day today at the 4th annual Christmas Trade Show & Bake Walk. Awesome! Thanks to all of our parent and student volunteers who donated baking and raffle prizes, and gave so freely of their time and energy. The event would not have been possible without you!

Sufjan Stevens - O Come Emmanuel
Check out one of my favourite Christmas carols, sung by one of my favourite singers, Sufjan Stevens:
Trade show 2014 tomorrow!
Wow, it's that time of year again! Our 4th Annual Rivier Academy Trade Show & Bake Walk is being held tomorrow in the library from 10am-4pm. Volunteers, please arrive a half hour before your scheduled shift. Wear all black with red accessories.
Thanks to everyone who has donated baking and raffle prizes! If you are donating either (or both!) and haven't brought it to the school, please do so asap! By tomorrow morning @ 10am at the latest please. Thanks for all of your support! Without you this event would not be a success.
And finally, please come to support the trade show tomorrow! You may just finish all of your Christmas shopping! :)

IP "page invalid" troubleshooting for Blogger
I was doing some research into why we were getting the error message "The page you requested is not valid" while trying to create blogs in IP 10. Here's what I found:
This particular website suggested waiting 24-48 hours before trying again to create a blog on the same network. Hopefully we will be able to continue with no problems in our next IP 10 class.
If you look at the third bullet point above, you will notice that there is a limit to the number of blogs that can be created daily from one network. This looks like the likely culprit from the other day - too many people creating blogs at one time on the school network.
Confirmation of my suspicions:

Anne of Green Gables rehearsal tonight
Anne of Green Gables rehearsals begin tonight! We had our first read through last Thursday and now we are starting to rehearse the music and stage scenes. I will be away this evening but Miss Perkins will be directing the music rehearsals in the music room ("Gee I'm Glad I'm No One Else But Me" and "The Facts" from 7-8pm, and "We Clearly Requested a Boy" from 8-9pm). Jan will be directing Scene 1, which tonight will be held in the dining room (below the auditorium, across from the Home Ec cooking lab).
To get us all into the spirit of Prince Edward Island and Anne of Green Gables, here are a few pictures I found online. Looks like the "carrots" moment is popular amongst Anne followers! :)
