Just a reminder - our potluck and class party will be on Tuesday, Dec. 20th. Your Career Ed assignments are due at the potluck as well, as we will be missing that class on that day.

7C Christmas party (potluck) and Secret Santa
Hi ladies! You took home a note re: potluck and Secret Santa, but just so that we can practice commenting on blog posts, I'd like you to leave me a message with what you are bringing for the potluck and/or some great ideas for inexpensive Secret Santa items. If you are not bringing anything for potluck (which is ok - we don't need 16 full meals for every person!), please leave a comment with your Secret Santa ideas and your favourite Christmas joke, or something else festive and fun. :o)

7C potluck and other updates
7C potluck this Friday! The sign-up sheet is on the board in our homeroom. If you are willing and able to bring something to contribute to our lunch, then please sign up! Friday is also Mr. Seghers' last student teaching day with us, so it will be good timing to say farewell to him then.
As far as the other classes go, here's what we've been up to and what's coming up next:
IP 20/30 - 3 things to work on: Yearbook, June calendar, iDVD compilation (2 videos, background music, pictures, buttons, etc.)
IP 10 - News broadcast due one class later now due to absences for track & field
Science 7 - Exams have been marked, returned, and reviewed in class. New topic starts next class.
Choral/Jazz Choir - Singing tests are almost done. So far so good! Mass music is next, for both of the upcoming masses (May 25th - Rivier / May 29th - Sacred Heart). A sign-up sheet for May 29th mass will be coming around next rehearsal period.
Career Ed 9 - Portfolio self identity collage / begin June calendar
Level 1 Band - 2 chorales for warm ups / memory work on "First Concert March"
Level 2 Band - Memory work on "Mr. B" / practice "A Walk in Sherwood"
Level 3 Band - sight read Barbarossa (good start!) / memory work on "Atlantis Overture" / "African Festival" to be played at final assembly
Level 4 Band - Charlie & the Chocolate Factory - select movements

- all music and method books must be handed in so that they can be put back into the inventory
- Senior Band is playing "Ipharadisi" on Friday at the final assembly
- Senior Choir will be singing "Hands" and "Don't Stop Believin'" at the final assembly as well
... and a couple non-music announcements:
- Grade 7s, we will be ON THE BUS by 8:30am on Thursday for our field trip to Waskesiu. Please be at the school by 8:15 so that you do not get left behind!
- 7C, please bring items for our final class potluck on Friday at noon

7C Potluck - Thursday, Nov. 13th
This is just a reminder for my 7C homeroom class that we will be having our class potluck this Thursday to celebrate students with Sept/Oct/Nov birthdays. We have a lot of people bringing desserts, so if you are planning on bringing something but are undecided as to what you will bring, consider providing a main course or a salad.
See you tomorrow!
