Choose a silhouette photo without too much foreground or background distraction (aim for 1,000 pixels as usual) and upload it to Ribbet. Using the Texture feature and its various options, edit your photo to your liking. We will discuss how to save the photo during class today. Save it as "Last name, Texture" and a description of the photo itself, for example, "Lohneis, Texture Butterfly" or "Lohneis, Texture Umbrella Girl" etc.
**** EDITED TO ADD: To save this project, follow these steps:
1. With your photo on the screen, press the Print Screen button. This will copy the contents of your screen in the computer's memory.
2. In the start menu, open the "Accessories" folder and select Paint. Open the application.
3. On your keyboard, use the paste shortcut (Ctrl + V) and your image will appear.
4. Click the "Crop" button and draw a box around the image you want to capture. Once you have drawn the box around your image, click the crop button again.
5. Save the resulting image as Lastname, first initial, Texture Trees (or whatever the content of your photo is). Make sure to save it as a .jpg file extension - the default in Paint will be .png
Here are a few examples so you know what your project should look like.
