Class updates

Computers 8M/8C - Photo editing assignments that should be handed in up to this point = Snorkeling (8C only), Hippo (8M only), Selective Colouring #1, Selective Colouring #2, Selective Boost, and Colour Boost.

IP 10 - Shutterfly books are overdue, and the planning process has begun today for the movie trailer iMovie project.

Drama 20 - All adjudications from the poetry readings have been handed back and we are in workshops to work on improving our vocal expression and speed of speech.  More workshops to follow.

Level 1 Band - We are working on playing the chromatic scale (starting on Concert Bb), all notes in one octave ascending and descending.  If you can already do this, the challenge is to play in quarter notes, then 8th notes, then 16th notes.  Keep practicing! :)

Level 2 Band - New song = Cha Cha Del Sol

Level 3 Band - Next theory class will be spent in rehearsal since we are going to have to miss rehearsals during vocal and strings festival.  Festival pieces = Shepherd's Hey and Serengeti Dreams.

Level 4 Band - Festival pieces = Northpointe Fantasy and Bellingrath Gardens.  Stay tuned for a potential project from Mr. Bernier as well.

Senior Choir - 2 more rehearsals left until Festival!  Festival pieces = She's Like The Swallow and Kom!  Other pieces to focus on after Festival = I Dreamed of Rain, Weary in Well-Doing, and any other sight-reading I may find for you. :)

Jazz Choir - Our main focus now needs to be Gershwin for Girls.  Put A Little Love In Your Heart is sounding quite good, fun, upbeat, etc. and so the remaining 2 rehearsals before Festival need to be for Gershwin.  Ladies, I really need you to practice your parts at home so that we can put them together at rehearsal - we don't have enough time to do all the work in class time unfortunately.  Eat lunch in P3 or P4 for the next 2 Jazz Choir days so that we can use all of our time for rehearsal.  Thanks!  Festival pieces = Put A Little Love In Your Heart (including Gabby on guitar, Emma on bass, and Chandra on drum set), and Gershwin For Girls.

Chamber Choir - We have had a busy week of rehearsals every morning at 8am.  We have done some incredible work on Ezekiel Saw De Wheel, and with our remaining rehearsals we will be tightening up some rhythms, releases, etc. in And So It Goes, and solidifying our memory work for Ezekiel.  Remaining rehearsals until Festival = tomorrow (Fri. March 7th) @ 8am, Mon. 10th, Wed. 12th, Fri. 14th, Mon. 17th, Tues. 18th.

And, just for fun, here are a few picture of my nieces and nephews (the beans and the peanuts as I like to call them) - they are on a holiday in Arizona right now and are enjoying the sun much more than the snow we're getting here!:

Hudson is not so sure he wants a cuddle from Avery...

On second thought, my big sister isn't so bad after all. :)
