Computers 8C - Selective Boost (new technique)
Today in Computers 8C we learned a new technique called "selective boost." This technique is very similar to selective colouring, only the original photo is kept in colour rather than black and white. Essentially what you are left with at the end of selective boost editing is a faded colour photo with one brighter focal point to grab the viewer's eye.
Here are a couple examples that I edited this period with the class:

| Notice how the background's original colour is still retained, although now muted. The girl in the foreground is boosted. |

| Again, a colour photo with a brighter focal point. For this edit I didn't decrease the colour saturation as much as the photo above, but I did boost the girl and her red umbrella for effect. |
